L'OURS ET LA PIERRE

est un conte que j'ai écrit spécifiquement pour l'animation des enfants du primaire.

Awassos, l’ourson, vient des étoiles. Il s’acclimate bien sur terre avec l’aide des lutins de la forêt. Il veut voyager mais Matgwas, le grand lièvre sournois, croise son chemin et lui fait changer de plan.

 

Ce conte parle d’amitié et d’adaptation, mais aussi de fourberie, d’endurance, d’entêtement, d’illusions perdues et de renoncement.

THE BEAR AND THE STONE

is a story that I wrote specifically for the animation to children of primary school.

Awassos, the bear, comes from the stars. He is well acclimated on land with the help of elves of the forest. He wants to travel but he meets Matgwas the great cunning hare who makes him change his plan.

This tale is about friendship and adaptation, but also cunning, endurance, stubbornness, lost illusions and renunciation.

Ce conte est narré à l'aide d'un grand livre illustré à la main.

J'ai produit un cahier pédagogique qui contient un lexique des 12 mots en langue abénakise qui sont employés dans le conte, trois petits jeux d'association des mots abénakis, une brève description du peuple Abénakis, quatre pages à colorier, une brève description du frêne noir et de la vannerie et un ours à découper.

This tale is narrated with a large book illustrated by hand.
I produced a teaching guide that contains a vocabulary of 12 words in Abenaki language employed in the tale, three small games of association of Abenaki words, a brief description of the Abenaki people, four coloring pages, a brief description of black ash and basketry and a bear to be cut up.
